ARE YOU OKAY?

**  The Are You Okay program is currently offline due to technical difficulties.  We hope to have this issue resolved very soon.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.  **

This is a free service sponsored by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office. The service is available to any resident of Bladen County who requests a daily telephone safety check. This service is designated for adults age 65 and over, and/or handicapped or home-bound persons of any age, social or economic condition. To request this service, simply telephone Sheryl Young at the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at (910) 862-6960. She will answer any questions you may have and arrange for a home visit to obtain basic confidential information to begin the service.

Once you have been registered for the service, you will receive an automated call each day at a designated time. If there is no answer, you will be called two additional times. If there is still no answer, a law enforcement officer or other emergency personnel will be sent to your house to check on you.

This is a county wide project, supported by all law enforcement agencies, attempting to keep our elderly, handicapped and/or home-bound residents safe.
